ALRANZ Applauds Court Ruling in Abortion Case (Updated)

UPDDATE!! 24 june: Right to Life v. ASC court case 2005-2011

ALRANZ applauds the 1 June 2011 Court of Appeal judgment in the 6-year-long case brought by the anti-abortion group Right to Life. The judgment rejected RTL's claims that the fetus has a right to life under New Zealand law and halted RTL's efforts to have the Abortion Supervisory Committee review doctors' decisions in approving or not approving abortions. The Court issued a media release [PDF], as did ALRANZ.
