Regional Workshop for Women’s Rights Advocates: How to Address Threats to Reproductive Rights in Central and Eastern Europe

The workshop is aimed at activists involved in sexual and reproductive rights and health.

This workshop offers state-of-the-art knowledge and skills for designing and delivering more efficient reproductive health strategies on national, regional, and international level, in the context of growing anti-choice opposition. The interactive, informal format of the workshop will seek to maximize peer to peer learning and exchange. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify political and legal barriers that CEE countries face in improving access to sexual and reproductive rights and health (SRHR);
  • Recognize the influence of anti-choice opposition on policies regulating SRHR- program design and delivery in CEE;
  • Identify and prioritize reproductive health needs within their own country and on the international level in the context of growing anti-choice opposition;
  • Develop tools for planning advocacy campaigns and efficiently mobilizing public for promotion of access to SRHR on national, regional and  international level; and
  • Plan advocacy actions for ensuring that governments improve their reproductive health- and rights - related policies and  live up to the commitments they have made to prioritize reproductive health.
